Last Updated: July 23, 2026
Introduction
Second Nature Inc. ("we," "us," or "our") operates secondnature.inc (the "Site"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you visit our Site and make purchases. We are based in Los Angeles, California and comply with the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), and California Online Privacy Protection Act (CalOPPA).
Information We Collect
When you make a purchase through our Site, we collect the following categories of personal information via our payment processor, Stripe:
- Identifiers: Full name, email address, shipping address, billing address
- Commercial Information: Products purchased, order details including ring size and custom engraving date
- Financial Information: Payment card details (processed securely by Stripe; we do not store your payment information)
- Communication Preferences: Your opt-in status for marketing communications about future product releases
When you visit the Site, we and our advertising partners may also automatically collect Internet and Network Activity information via cookies and similar technologies: your IP address, device and browser characteristics, pages viewed, actions taken on the Site (such as completing a purchase), and cookie or ad-click identifiers. See "Cookies and Advertising Technology" below.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
- To process and fulfill your orders
- To send order confirmations and shipping updates
- To communicate with you about your purchase
- To send marketing communications if you have opted in
- To advertise our products and measure the performance of our advertising (see "Cookies and Advertising Technology")
- To comply with legal obligations
- To prevent fraudulent transactions
Cookies and Advertising Technology
We use cookies and similar technologies from advertising partners — currently the Meta (Facebook) Pixel and the Pinterest Tag — to measure the performance of our advertising, attribute purchases to ads, and reach people who may be interested in our work (including re-marketing campaigns).
These technologies collect the Internet and Network Activity information described above. In addition, we may share a hashed (irreversibly encoded) version of information you provide to us — such as the email address you enter when signing up for updates or completing a purchase — with these partners so they can match your visit to your account on their platform and measure conversions. We may send some of these conversion events, including hashed email addresses, from our servers as well as from your browser.
Your choices: If you are visiting from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, these technologies are not activated unless you click "Allow" in our cookie notice. In the United States, they are active by default, and you can opt out at any time using the "Privacy Preferences" link in the site footer or the button below. Elsewhere, they are active by default and can be declined in the cookie notice. We also honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signal as an opt-out. You can revisit your choice at any time:
Third-Party Service Providers
We share your information with the following third-party service providers who assist us in operating our business:
- Stripe: Payment processing. All payment information is handled directly by Stripe. Stripe's privacy policy can be found at stripe.com/privacy.
- ConvertKit (Kit): Email marketing services (only if you opt in to receive updates). ConvertKit's privacy policy can be found at convertkit.com/privacy.
- Meta Platforms: Advertising measurement and audience matching, as described in "Cookies and Advertising Technology." Meta's privacy policy can be found at facebook.com/privacy/policy.
- Pinterest: Advertising measurement and audience matching, as described in "Cookies and Advertising Technology." Pinterest's privacy policy can be found at policy.pinterest.com/privacy-policy.
We do not sell your personal information for money. However, our use of advertising cookies and identifiers described above may be considered "sharing" of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising under California law. You can opt out of this sharing at any time as described in "Cookies and Advertising Technology."
